Lana began her career in medicine as an RN within Marin Health’s Medical-Surgical unit, where she spearheaded several initiatives to improve patient care. After observing a deficit in her unit’s response to hypoglycemic events, Lana designed a campaign to improve protocols that was then adopted hospital-wide. She also designed and completed a study of patients with poorly-controlled diabetes to improve their disease management. It is important to Lana that patients feel able to take control of their health, and throughout her career, she has worked to create resources for patients and remove barriers to care.

Prior to her work as a nurse, Lana served in multiple leadership roles within Topix Pharmaceuticals, a medical grade skincare company. In her time at Topix, she demonstrated her natural abilities to lead teams, build relationships with clients, and support organizational goals. Lana takes a proactive, collaborative approach to everything she does, continuously seeking to drive improvement through strategic initiatives.

She operates with a growth mindset, consistently pursuing specialty certifications so that she may better serve her patients. Lana is certified by the Institute of Functional Medicine (IFM), is currently pursuing a certification course in BHRT, and has certifications in Diabetes Care & Education, Functional Nutrition and Lifestyle, the Wahls Protocol, and more. She considers herself a self-starter and thrives in any clinical setting.

With proven success in delivering functional care, a mission-driven approach, and strong foundational skills as a healthcare provider, Lana integrates a variety of health solutions to provide holistic care and education for a diverse population of patients.
